アーティスト気分

先週１週間、テキスタイルアーティストのアトリエで研修してきました。
彼女の作品はBildväv（絵織り）の大きなタペストリー。まさに”糸で絵を描く”アーティストです。


Last week, I had a internship in an atelier of one textile artist.
Her works are big tapestries which woven Bildväv (I don't know what it called in English. Bildväv mean picture weaving.) She is indeed the artist who pait pictures with yarn.




アトリエにはこの世の全ての色があるのでは？という程たくさんの色で溢れていました。

In the atelier, here was full with many many colors. Are there all colors of this world in here?


私はこの１週間、来年展示予定の作品の一部を織らせてもらいました。
地の色はほとんどが白。だけど、それはそれはたくさんの白糸を何本も合わせて、様々な白を表現していきます。
スケッチを見ながら「ここはもう少し黄色いでしょ？」「こっちはもっと白ね」「ここは柔らかい白が欲しいわね」と言いながら、様々な糸を合わせていく彼女は、”絵描き”そのもの。

I wove a part of her work.
The ground color is white, but she expresses a lot of white to use different white yarn.
She said, "here is more yellow,isn't here?""here is more white""here want a soft white" while checking her sketch. She is like a paintar.




使う糸は、細いもの、太いもの、シルク、リネン、ウール、コットンなど、あらゆる糸。

最初はスケッチ通りの色を見つけ出すのに苦労しましたが、だんだんとその苦労が楽しく感じられるから不思議です。

The yarn used are thin, thick, silk, linen, wool, cotton etc....all yarn.

It was very difficult to find colors as same as the sketch. But I felt happy the effort more and more,

このニュアンスだらけのスケッチを糸で表現するというのは、本当に大変。でも、ものすごく楽しい。

The sketch is abstract. It is very hard to express this with yarn. But.....FUN!!




一日約１０ｃｍ織るのが精一杯。帰る頃にはぐーったり。笑


アーティスト気分をたっぷり味わえた１週間。週末はぐだぐださせて頂きました。笑


It was max to weave about 10cm a day. I was soooo tired when went back to home.....
But I really enjoyed as a "artist". And I spent a lazy weekend. :-P hehehe

うわ～楽しそう。
この糸の棚を眺めているだけで幸せな気分になれるよね。

それにしてもすごい仕事だね。
この作家さん、誰なんだろう･･･気になる～！

この色ぎっしりの棚は、ヤバイですよねー。笑
この方はSusanneです（知ってますか？）。デザインの先生でもあります。
